This game was made in under 72 continuous hours, as an entry for the Ludum Praxi February 2026 gamejam, hosted by Beth and Angel Make Games for the theme ‘You are not supposed to be here’

[IMPORTANT] I've made two typing errors in the document that can cause confusion while playing. Please check out the Devlog post 'Errata' to see the corrections!

A note about readability

The game document uses a non-standard font, as you can see in the cover image. I've uploaded a version that uses Arial instead: feel free to use that if it's more comfortable to read! Versions with a white background, or no images/color at all (for printing) are available as well.

Introduction

You were having a great time browsing your favorite toy store, when all of a sudden, the lights switch off! When you check the time, you realize that the store closed half an hour ago... but you’re still inside. You are not supposed to be here, but you’re not going to let this opportunity slip by!

Features

  • Optional journaling prompts
  • Extremely rules-lite
  • Family friendly
  • Customizable

Materials

To play ONO, you’ll need a deck of playing cards (jokers excluded) and a six-sided die. You’ll also need some writing materials, and lots of child-like wonder.

Please Keep In Mind

Because of the time constraint, this game hasn't been playtested (much). If you run into any issues while playing, please let me know, either in the comments on this page or email me at noareidgames@gmail.com!
